Gallery is under reconstruction.
In the Moment—this is how Cynthia Maurice describes both her life and work.
As a classically trained artist, Cynthia has continually challenged traditional artistic approaches, seeking new ways of seeing. Her creative process is rooted in observation, placing her in a space of possibility and discovery as she studies structures and their transformations.
“Drawing from observation brings the challenge of defining what is ‘real.’ The goal may be to capture what is there, yet the result is often unexpected and revealing. A bowl of cherries may become cherries without a bowl. Removing boundaries pushes me to question my own boundaries and conventions.”
Drawn to nature and overlooked everyday objects, Cynthia explores themes of transition, metamorphosis, rebirth, and growth. Her work spans various mediums, including sketches, oil painting, watercolor, mixed media, and lithography.
These galleries showcase her diverse body of work, offering pieces for sale and reflecting the breadth of subject matter and techniques she has explored.
