“Drawing from observation brings the challenge of defining what is ‘real.’ The goal is often to capture what is in front of me, yet the outcome is often unexpected and revealing. A bowl of cherries may turn into cherries without the bowl. Removing boundaries pushes me to question my limitations and conventions.”
