Cannot Be Described In Words: Drawing Expanded
"This exhibition takes the form of a question at once familiar and uncomfortable. For me, making a drawing, the step- by- step process, is all about decisions: when to push forward, when to stop. It’s a game of risk, the stakes are high. I feel as though I’m on a tightrope as I have a glimmer of the ineffable which cannot be described in words..
”I was asked to make a proposal for a drawing exhibit and this group presented itself, my criteria was – what artists would I like to see in the same room together – all of whom push the definition of drawing.”
- Deborah Davidson, Curator
