S T A T E M E N T
My current exhibition, Cannot Be Described in Words at the Concord Arts Association, takes the form of a question at once familiar and uncomfortable. For me, making a drawing, the step- by- step process, is all about decisions: Add? Delete? Push forward? Stop? It’s a game of risk, the stakes are high. All could be lost or become banal. I’m walking a tightrope to the ineffable which cannot be described in words but is a discovery that reaches out and grabs me.
